PROUDLY MALAWIAN.....

In any country, when a head of state dies, there is always fear of succession disputes due to all the obvious reasons you can think of. I will not dwell much on that as I consider politics a very unfair game. However let me say I have come to appreciate that my country, Malawi, is a very peace-loving nation. Following the death of our President, His Excellency Dr Bingu wa Mutharika,on April 5th 2012, there were fears here and there that power transition will not go so well, due to the political differences that existed between the late president and the vice president, Joyce Banda, who was now the one in-line for the throne as stated in the constitution. In respect to the constitution, the vice president has now been sworn in as the president of Malawi. A move that has maintained peace across the country. Her Excellency Joyce Banda becomes the first female president in the SADC region. Meanwhile the nation is in 10-day mourning for the late head of state. May the soul of the late father of the nation continue resting in eternal peace, and may the good Lord grant our new president  divine favored wisdom to guide and lead our nation to continued peace, prosperity and unity. Long-live Genuine democracy in Malawi.

PROGRESS TO LOVE

Imagine the world without love, how would it be? When people hear of love, often the relationship that pops up to deal with love, is a man and woman relationship. But love is more than that. To those who believe in God like me, u will agree with me that love is the greatest command that God ever placed on mankind. He tells us that one way we can show Him that we truly love Him is by loving  others. 1 John 4:9 states that God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. As i deliberate more on this command to love, i realise that if all mankind surely obeyed this command, the world will really be a better place to live in. It is evident that love covers lots of aspects other than just telling someone, "i love you baby" or giving that loved one something he or she treasures.  the other book from the bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, shows how love is the greatest. It states," love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is awlays hopefuand endures through every circumstance". As go through this easter season, my dear friends, let us crave for the need to progress the love we have, the need to permanently improve the love we have, and surely develop the love we have.
